INtel COLLEGE SOCIAL CALENDAR
This term has been very interesting with new students around
both on day and evening classes making the college very exciting
by organizing fun-filled events. The recent activities included
a visit to the Nairobi Children's home on 17th October 2008,
where INtel students adopted a child for that day. The just
ended student president campaign which saw INtel with a new
President, John Ngugi Mirii and his vice Nehreen Sadique, and
their new cabinet. INtel College's 5th graduation Ceremony on
2nd October at the Laico Regency where 150 graduands were conferred
their awards. However it's buckling down now to books, since
the term is almost coming to an end.
Thanks to all those who made this events successful by participating
in different activities. Special thanks to the ushers at the
graduation ceremony, you did a fabulous job and the volunteers
who donated heartedly towards the Nairobi Children's home and
took their time to be with the kids.

SUNDERLAND/INTEL STARS: Starting this issue, INtel College
proudly features a select group of outstanding students who
have been students on the Sunderland Programme and are out there
making 'it happens'. Do you know someone or yourself, who you
think belong to this board of honors? Do email Anita!
INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS: We welcome international students
from all over Africa, currently INtel College has students from
Malawi, Zambia, South Africa and Ethiopia. Choosing to come
to INtel is a life changing decision, one that will help you
reach your full potential. That's why we work hard to make sure
INtel has every thing you need to succeed, to have fun and leave
with memories that will last a life time.
WHATS NEW AT INtel: The University of Sunderland MBA
programme at INtel College, Our next intake is January 2009.
MBA students enjoy reserved parking, refreshments during class,
essential text to each student, and small class sizes.

SUMMER SCHOOL IN SUNDERLAND FOR INTEL STUDENTS: This is a special
2-week session running during holidays, designed for international
students wishing to gain a 'feel' of the Universities campus.
ACADEMIC CALENDAR
As everyone knows, being a student at INtel College, is like
being on a University of Sunderland campus. Professors, examiners
from the University are a common sight at INtel, and so also,
are the University activities, which include examinations, seminars,
and classes. The next intake for the BSc (hons) in Applied Business
Computing is in February 2009. Students with Advanced Diploma
from IMIS qualify for entry to third year, with one pending
second year subject. However, other Advanced Diploma holders
are also eligible for entry with exemption.
THE VB.NET FUNDAMENTALS COURSE
The VB.net FUNDAMENTALS Course is on offer again. Running from
February 2008 to mid April 2008, this 20 hour course takes students
through the fundamentals of VB.net. Students who pass this course
will be able to add this certification to their portfolio.
The next intake for the BA (hons) Business Management Programme
is March 2009 and application deadline is 15th February 2008.
All other Programmes BTEC, IMIS, ABE and CIM begin on 5th January
and application deadline is 5th December 2008.
LEGAL ACCESS TO MS-DEVELOPER SOFTWARE FOR FREE AT INtel
YOU HAVE LEGAL ACCESS to MS- Developer software FOR FREE at
INtel College. Under a partnership with Microsoft, INtel College
gives diploma and degree seeking students an opportunity to
gain legal access to a hoard of developer software at no charge.
Just bring in your flash disk or an empty CD and INtel will
be happy to make copy for you.
