This information sheet provides a brief of the Foundation in Computing Programme, offered at INtel College

Course Aims

  • The Foundation in Computing aims to provide an educational foundation for those eventually wishing to pursue careers as computer professionals. The specialised studies offered are directly relevant to individual vocations and professions in which students will be working. They are also tailored to fit the student’s intent to progress to a Diploma or equivalent programme.

  • This course enables students to develop the professional skills needed by businesses using IT systems. It is intended for students who would like to learn more about Computing (Information Technology), and eventually wish to work in IT related areas as Technicians, Software Developers (Programmers), Computer Networks Engineers or Graphics Designers amongst others.

  • The course is open to students who have completed high school, successfully completed IGCSE/GCSE or its equivalent and wish to attain solid foundation skills in Computing. This will enable them to progress to University level education or a Diploma Programme.

Course Objectives

  • The Foundation in Computing is designed to equip students with the knowledge, understanding and relevant skills required for progression to a Diploma in Computing Programme or other equivalent programmes. It is also meant to bridge students who have not met the minimum entry requirements to the Diploma programme.

  • The course exposes students to the general areas in Information Technology that will enable them identify and specialize in their areas of interest which include Networking, Web Design, Programming and Graphic Design.

Course Requirements

Candidates should have successfully completed O’ level GCSE’s or equivalent.


Fees Structure

Fees
Admission Fee: KShs. 10,000/- Once only. (includes use of library and internet)
Tuition Fee: KShs. 91,000/- per term
Any Extra Unit: Kshs. 30,000/- per unit

Admission Process

  • 1. Complete the admission form from Our Admissions Link

  • 2. Certified copies of academic credentials AND 2 passport size photos

  • 3. Admission fee payment of KShs 10,000/- (ten thousands shillings only) by cash deposit direct to the college account or by cheque payment, or by MPESA (PAYBILL)

  • 4. Submit the application and proof of item 3 above to INtel college.
